How to Manifest Unshakable Confidence: 8 steps to more confidence
Everyone talks about manifestation, but very few explain what it really means. Amid a sea of buzzwords, I’ve personally never found a step-by-step guide that covers everything, not just part of the equation. Recently, I attended an online masterclass from a neuroscientist who taught me some incredible things about manifestation, the brain, and the nervous system. Much of what she shared, I already knew from my lived experience and research, but I also learned some new insights. For example, we each perceive our own personal reality through our body's light cues, brain, and senses. Your brain constructs your reality, so if you change your brain, you can literally change how you perceive the world around you.
This neuroscientist also helped me understand that our brain is manifesting every moment of every day—it’s not something you have to focus on only at specific times. And more than simply focusing on the things we want, real manifestation is about focusing on the feeling of those things. It’s about raising our frequency and getting into the feeling state of your desire—without coming from a place of need, because need repels attraction.
Since the workshop, I’ve been reading more about how to manifest confidence as I prepare to host the Confidence Queen Challenge for over 1,000 healing honeys. Confidence is something people ask me about a lot, so I’ve put together 8 steps—backed by psychology, neuroscience, and energetics—that will guide you in building, manifesting, embodying, and attracting more confidence.
Let’s get into it:
Believe in the Possibility of Change: The truth is you can change your confidence and how you feel about yourself at any moment. Feel resistance to that statement when you read it? Like maybe a “no, you can’t” or “no, you don’t get it”? Feeling like this ‘isn’t going to work for me’ is actually your subconscious mind and nervous system ALREADY showing you that it wants to stay the same. Often, our nervous systems don’t want us to reach the highest of the heights or make the greatest changes, and that’s because our nervous systems have one job: to keep us the same. Most people never get past this stage because they find themselves repeating patterns, again and again and again. When you start to understand the subconscious mind, you realize you are in control; you just have to use the right tools and techniques. Consciously acknowledging that many, many people have changed their life, their mindset, and their beliefs too should be the first part of accepting that YOU can too. Why are they special, and not you?
Acknowledge the Power of Your Brain: Manifestation is free. It can be done by anyone, at any moment of life, because your brain is an 'always on' manifestation machine. In fact, YOU are an 'always on' manifestation machine, and that’s what people mean when they say you are the co-creator of your own life. Yes, there are tools to help manifest (we’ll get to them), but you are ACTUALLY constantly manifesting every moment of every day through your beliefs, which are firing repeatedly all day long. Your beliefs create your thoughts, which create your feelings, which create your external decisions, responses, and reality. So, when you start to change your deeply wired beliefs, then you start to inevitably change your state. Your state (determined by your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs) has an energetic frequency (Dr. David Hawkins proved that every emotion has a vibrational frequency). And with the ‘law of attraction’ and like attracting like in the science world, if you raise your energetic frequency through the power of your brain and thoughts, then you are one step closer to ‘manifesting.’
Consciously Analyze the Future: Once you’re ready to really start the journey, you need to start by looking forward. Start by defining exactly who you want to be, what you want to achieve, and what it looks like in terms of TANGIBLE GOALS. It’s okay if they are a little superficial, but most importantly—for this stage—you need to stop thinking about these things and instead start focusing on how these things make you feel. Most of the time, when you want something, you actually want how it ‘makes you feel,’ and so manifestation works not just through thinking but through feeling (we’ll come to this later).
Identify Your Current Conscious & Subconscious Blocks to Confidence: It’s not just as simple as ‘feeling the feels.’ Because, yes, while we can feel the future as if it’s happening in the now, the vast majority of the world is running programs, beliefs, and thoughts repeatedly that are actually blocking us from FEELING how we want to feel. The biggest block to manifesting anything (including confidence) is fear-based programming. So, what's blocking or holding you back? A belief this won’t work for you? A belief you’re not worthy? Fear-based thinking? Self-sabotage? Self-criticism? Comparison? Jealousy? An inability to receive? What are the fears working under the surface of your life?
Release Subconscious & Deep Rooted Energetic Blocks: These blocks and limiting beliefs hold an energetic frequency wired into your body, brain, and nervous system. This is why ‘fake it till you make it’ doesn’t work on an energetic basis. Because ‘faking it until you make it’ is a short-lived experience of a higher vibrational state from within your nervous system and 3D body. It doesn’t stick, and it doesn’t stay. The truth? You need to release the energetic blocks associated with these limiting beliefs and the energetic frequency of the ‘fears’ you are experiencing to wipe the slate clean. You can start to do this through practices that provide safety to the body (like gentle touch, breathwork, somatic movement) as well as practices that release the stuck, stagnant, suppressed energies and emotions too (like somatic shaking, somatic pilates, breathwork, and more).
Learn to Regulate Your Nervous System: Alongside releasing, it’s really important to learn how to bring your nervous system into a state of calm and balance. A nervous system, mind, brain, and body driven by ‘fear-based thinking’ will constantly feel under threat, and a nervous, anxious, depressed, or frozen nervous system cannot manifest the way a calm, safe, embodied, and excited nervous system can. Safety is critical, and safety is one of the first stages of regulation. Remember—a safe nervous system is one that is open and able to receive. The good news? A lot of the practices that help you release the energetic blocks also help to regulate your nervous system, so you can kinda kill two birds with one stone.
Start to Rewire Your Subconscious - See It, Feel It and Embody It: At this point, you are so ready to get into the magical part of the work. Embodiment is the key to manifestation. Real transformative shifts happen through feeling and embodying the energy that you want to experience, the feelings that you want to experience, and imagining them as if they are happening RIGHT NOW. Remember—the subconscious mind actually can’t tell the difference between reality and imagination, so visualization, meditation, and embodiment can help your body shift into the state that you want it to experience. This can help you embody the future you as if it is your actual reality right now—as if it’s ACTUALLY happening. This helps you become an energetic match for what you're manifesting and then attract it in via the law of attraction.
Take Action Like You Mean It: Manifestation doesn’t work if you don’t. It requires action—step into situations that push you out of your comfort zone. Take inspired action with pure intention, become an energetic match, and watch your confidence soar! Repetition is key for deep transformation, rewiring new pathways into your brain, body, and nervous system through neuroplasticity—where new neural pathways can be built with intention and repetition.
